I met René through a kayaking website. He was leaving Denmark to launch a kayak business in Venice, Italy.
A few years later he enlisted me to create a small magazine display ad. When I saw the logo it was immediately clear that — though the concept was sound — the execution needed some polishing up. The redesign uses color and line weight to anchor the contour lines of the original. Strong light and dark areas give the composition more depth and a stronger presence.
